Wirleless card by
Webman
I received an old Windows 98SE laptop without the Windows 98 setup disk. I
tried to setup a Linksys wireless card but it is asking for the setup disk to
be loaded to get a driver. Is there a way around it???

Network logon by
WayneS
I connect to a Windows 98 peer-to-peer network everyday and was wondering if
there was any way to have Windows finish loading with out having to hit the
enter key at the "Enter Network Password" dialog box when I boot up. I do
not use a password. I think it would be pretty neat if there was some...

Incorrect Password Prompt by
Wayne Conway
I have a shared drive on a 98SE machine that I keep password protected.
To ease some administrative tasks, I removed the password so that I
could have full unrestricted access from any of our network machines.
None of these tasks involved any network settings. I restored password
protection to the...

New Router / Download Speed Down 75% by
Wayne Conway
Our small business uses Cox Cable for internet access. We have been
using a Cox installed and configured Netscreen Router. Agreement changes
(initiated by Cox) required us to provide our own router. Changed to a
Linksys BEFSX41 Firewall Router. Now, our download speeds seem to be
only about 25% of...

Router Speed Issues by
Wayne Conway
Looking for a router for a small business (about 10 PC's with cable
internet access). The last one I tried was a (Linksys BEFSX41
Firewall/VPN) chopped our internet speed by 75% and rendered E-Mail
unusable. And that was with the tamest settings. Are there any
functional products out there that...

Can't get USB working on ASUS P55T2P4 board by
[email protected]
I'm building a starter system for somebody. I haven't used Win98 in a
while. I have a ASUS P55T2P4 board set up with an AMD K6/500mhz. Most
everything is working, but not the USB. I have another system set up
with the MB and CPU, it's running Win2K, and USB works just fine on
that.
