Not sure what the potential problem is with ScanDisk+Win98SE+
Big Drives
First, understand that there are 2 scandisk's. One is the DOS
scandisk (scandisk.exe) and the second is Windows scandisk
(scandskw.exe + diskmaint.dll). Then there is defrag (AKA windows
defrag).

Formatting a 20G HDD, One Partition, With Small Size Clusters by
Brad
Hi,
I installed a 20G HDD in my Windows 98se computer. With one partition,
I formatted it. The results is 16K byte clusters. With a FAT32 system,
a 32 bit number ("index") can represent around 4.3G. This in effect should
allow around 4 billion clusters maximum.
The major reason for a...

download, I have powermax but it does not include this function and neither
does...

Hi,
Thanks to everyone for pointing me in the right direction with regards
to the "initial" track position (inside) when you first insert a data CD.
Another very important question: Is there a physical "stop" that
stops the head (the head moves toward the center of the CD and "hits"
a physical...
