how to reformat NTFS drive to FAT32 by
rb
My wife's pc has WinME. Also a FAT32 formatted hard drive. I want to
re-format a NTFS formatted external USB hard drive to FAT32, and need
instruction on how to do that.
I know that WinME can't read and write to NTFS, so want to reformat the
external USB drive to FAT32.
How do I do it?

Removing left over files by
PAT (Paul)
A few days ago I changed printer. For some reason I decided to bring it back
to the store. Will buy another later. Unfortunately (for me) I forgot to
uninstall it with the CD. Had no choice but remove it from Add/Remove, but
as I suspected, I've got many files left over.
What is the best way...

Missing Start button by
Dean
My dad, who lives far away so I can't check it, has an old ME computer and
says, somehow, has managed to lose his start button. I imagine that means
he has lost his entire task bar. If I recall, I locked his taskbar the last
time I visited him.
Can someone who still has an ME computer tell me...

if you're a glutton for punishment).
He has an old ME computer, with minimum RAM, that I almost killed last time
around, by trying to download an...

CWShredder by

First, thank you to all who answered my Tech question, I will post a
personal thank-you.
CWShredder is now my question.
Is this or is this not a functioning 'thing'?
No updates are ever available when I look, so is this just something
that we can all nuke from our systems and regain 'bytes' of...

System infection questions by
Ed Meza
Hi,
While running avast4.7 Home edition, I have encountered infections in my Win
ME system.
Attempts as instructed by avast to desinfect these files have been
unsuccessful.
I don't know whether or not it is customary to use attachments when
addressing problems to this NG - I'm however attaching...

False Program Instances appearing in Program Manager by
John
Hi:
I think I have done my homework on this one. I have done a general search
and I have done a google groups search and I can't find anything quite like
this. Here we go.
Additional instances of programs (usually the first program I use after
startup) are appearing in the program manager (when I...

a Tech Question by
shep
Hi,
I was reading up on the difference between BIOS & CMOS, and think I
now how a grip on it, but I am wondering why the cmos/config program
uses ram instead of rom?
Wouldnt this do away with the necessity of the cmos battery?
thanks for any enlightenment.
