How do I get my computer out of safe mode & back to normal

After boot up, it goes to the Menu of safe mode and etc. by Wishy13764
I then click on number 1 "Normal" and it then it goes into windows. It was just fine before I updated my chipset. Is that what effected it? Why should it?

Always hangs on bootup by awal
I have an old PC(+5 years)running Windows98. On bootup it can work for 1 to 5 minutes, then just hangs. No response from the mouse, keyboard, or Ctrl/Alt/Del. If I leave it on for about an hour and reboot. Its fine . Whats going on? Is it a temperature thing. Help
