Angel
Happy New Year everyone!
Can Firefox be used on Windows 98SE? Which version? One reason, I am asking
is because I have been having trouble accessing my yahoo mail with the old
IE version 6. The computer keeps freezing up when I try. I Keep getting the
message that Yahoo mail is (not Responding),...

Recycle Bin confirm message by
ms
I have several W98SE machines. One of them operates normally but has been
used for trial installs, and therefore had "moderate" registry cleaning.
On this machine, Recycle Bin/Properties, the "show confirmation on delete"
message is *unchecked*. But on this machine, I still get the confirm...

I uninstalled old RichFX player from Add/Remove programs(there was just
entry in Add/Remove program list, but was no program itself in Program
files). The confirmation was shown that program was uninstalled.
Uninstallation removed also RichFX folder from C:\Program Files\Common

Won't load OS by
ms
Got into trouble in trying some W98 utilities. Apparently one of them
was a NT type app. In a very reliable W98SE computer, I ran an
executable, the machine then rebooted and now gives a DOS screen:
========
file is missing or corrupted; c:\windows\himem.sys
there is an error in line 1 of...

Readout of RAM usage by
ms
W98SE can, of course, get into problems with RAM usage.
This post is a need for a utility to measure RAM usage.
It needs to meet these requirements:
1. freeware
2. Can be minimized to the Taskbar
3. Measure usage of physical RAM
4. Continuous readout in Taskbar % used/or maybe free
5 No-install

Installer created an extra stuff by
Aster
I just installed drivers for D-Link DFE520TX PCI ethernet adapter from CD
that comes with the adapter. Alongside the installing drivers, installer
created D-Link folder in C:\Program Files\ with few extra folders (Vista,
Vista 64, Win64 and files Config.dat, DeviceInst.exe), and two entries...

Video driver needed by
Henry
I need a video driver for *Win98SE* for a video board labeled "2 the
Max" made by Focus Information Systems, with a TSENG LABS ET3000AX
video chip. I don't want a driver manager or a driver detector, I want
the actual driver.
Thanks
Henry

Help, my views got messed up and "folder options" is now restricted by
SlickRCBD[_3_]
I have no idea what has happened here, I think vista somehow messed
something up when I connected to a file share, but even that seems odd
since I've been doing this for 6 months. I'm using Windows 98SE and
have files shares on a LAN to a Vista 64 Home Premium machine.
I can't choose "folder...

Intel wlan 2200bg driver for W98? by
Esra Sdrawkcab
I have a Fujitsu S7010 laptop, but there's no (that I can find) wireless
driver for W98. Can anyone recommend an equivalent one that would work?
I have read that the 2100b would do, but the driver file I downloaded from
intel only has xp and 2000 support.

Cheers!
