Hi All, Ever since I installed an external CD/DVD drive, my PC takes an age to boot, appearing to hang for a couple of minutes before springing into life. If I disconnect the drive it boots at normal speed again. Is there any way around this? Thanks.

File Gone Bad? by Paradoxdb3
This is a question about an mp3 file that Windows Media Player could not play. The file was once playable I'm sure, but now Windows Media Player can't play the file format yet it will play all the other mp3 files in the same folder. Is there a reason why this would happen?

Desktop icons always get shuffled after running safe mode. Not sure if they are re-sorted by date or size or type but neither are preferred. Any way to preserve preferred desktop arrangement? Thanks.
