I have recently had to reformat my HP computer with Windows ME and it now seems to take anywhere from two to five minutes just to get to the log-in screen. I get to stare at a "processing files" screen until it's done. How can I speed up my computer ops system?

I put a disk in the drive. I open my file, go to file, go to save as, go to the A drive and this message appears: You do not have access to the folder A:\. See your administator for access to this folder. What is going on? Why can't I save to a disk? Help
