When running defrag in safe mode with McAfee Security Center running, defrag reaches 66%, gives an error "Explorer has caused an invalid page fault in module kernel32.dll". If I run defrag in safe mode without McAfee Security Center running, defrag completes no problem. Anyone have any comments.

When I defrag or scan disk it starts over. How can you tell which program is running so you can stop it. I have closed everything I can think of. By the way, what is safe mode? Thank you for you help. Bill
