EXPLORER caused general protection fault by

Hi,
I am running out of ideas, have trawled thru microsoft troubleshooting
issues.
After resuming from Stanby mode I get an Explorer caused a general
protection fault in module USER.EXE at 000f:0000610 register EAX = etc etc.
