even while the computer is not in use the resources decline until the system has to be booted. anyone have an idea whats up? thanks....brett

I am running 98se and have 512 megs of memory. I created a 800 mb swap file on a second disk. I run one program and then I get the message that I am dangerously low on memory resources or the computer will just lock with the hourglass showing. Any clues as what I can do to fix this problem.

For example: 1) when I click on any icons within the control panel, they won't open, 2) I can't open the Help directory and 3) the computer won't install a new program I've downloaded. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I used to copy from IE 6 & paste to WordPad. Now that will not work. For now I paste to Word or Notepad, then copy from them & paste to WordPad. Any fix for this? B
