Direct X update - should I install it. by Wandering
I just downloaded the large update to Direct X from the MS Download site. Now I am wondering if it is a good idea to install it? I am running Win98SE and I am happy as a clam with it now. About the only time it ever crashes it has something to do with IE6. Beyond that it seems nearly bulletproof....

Data Recovery shareware wanted by Alan
I know that "Ontrack" puts out data recovery software (that comes with a price naturally). Their "free" download only identifies recoverable files, it won't restore them. Does anyone know where I can get a full-function (identifies and restores)program "free" ? I realize this is a lot to hope...
