I am upgrading form me to xp as ME is full of faults my computer crashes frezes and frequently is low on resources. To get rid of these problems do I need to do a total hard disck wipe or will installing xp get rid of the me hicupps???

I have to burners. One is CD and the other is CD/DVD multiformat. Problem is that although I can see all CD's fine in the first LiteOn, the CD/DVD will only see DVD's. This is looking from Explorer and from Sonic's software. I need help as I'm out of ideas. Norman
