Reinstall ME by
John M
Hello,
I need to reinstall the operating system and need to know how to format my
hard drive. Obviously, I am not a sophisticated user, but I have reinstalled
ME before but can't remember how I formatted the hard drive. Any help is
much appreciated.

active X by
Sean
"current security settings prohibit runing Active X controls on this page. As
a result, the page may not display properly"
what are the safest settings for Active X? Currently I am set at medium on
security.
Also, is there a way to enable Active X for a particular site?
Thanks

10G drives and one 60G drive (numbers rounded). When I boot up into...

Roll Back to Windows 2000 by
Stephen Hartman
I have a machine that came preinstalled w/ WinME. Is a rollback to Win2000
possible without creating damage to currently installed programs etc
feasible. I know a clean install is always the best option, but again want
to know if the rollback is possible.
TIA

Is it possible to partition my HD, reinstalling WinME on the new partition,
then shift the program files I have on the HD over to the new partition and
finally remove the old partition? Or am I just dreaming?
I just hate taking it somewhere and getting every program and file I have on
it removed...

We have WinMe on a desktop and Win98SE on a laptop. Neither PC will boot up
without stopping to demand a Windows password. This means that we can't go
off and do something else while the machine takes forever to start but have
to sit there and await the message. Is there a good way to get rid of...
