USB driver? (wireless usb adapter) by
anonymous
I have windows 98 and wanted to use the mn-710. It recognizes it in display
manager, yet always shows a ! or X next to it. When the X appears, you can't
"enable" it. I was wondering if there is something i can do or anyone know of
a usb driver included in 98SE that could be useful for this

I am trying to browse a stand alone windows 2000 server on
a windows 98 machine. When I go through Network
Neighborhood and then to Work Groups, I can see the
server, however when I try to browse it I get a login
window asking for a password only ... which password does
it want?

Protocol choice, networking XP and 98SE by
Anthony Buckland[_2_]
In my "Network connection on Win98SE machine keeps
failing" thread, one of the things I reported is the use on
my Win98SE machine of both TCP/IP and NETBEUI
(wired network to a WinXP machine and the Internet via a
2wire gateway connected to Telus DSL). I've run across
a couple of recommendations...

Network connection on Win98SE machine keeps failing by
Anthony Buckland[_2_]
I recently installed Telus High Speed (DSL). Our secondary machine
gets a working network connection on booting, every time, but within
about 15 minutes it fails. This is a Compaq 7AP190, 2000 vintage,
Win98SE, wired connection to ethernet port, single processor at 1GHz,
256 MBy RAM. Our...

Anthony Buckland[_2_]
This is a spinoff from my thread "Network connection on
Win98SE machine keep failing." I just noticed today that,
after IE loses touch on this machine with the net, I can
still go to DOS command mode and ping various sites
that answer pings, such as yahoo.com and the office
supply chain at...

Anthony Litterio
I have a client that uses Windows 98 Desktops and Windows
2000 servers. I want to know how to disable the Windows
password. I know you can delete the .pwl file and then
just not put a password in, but is there a way to
automatically disable this so that it doesn't even ask if
they want a windows...
