I cannot open Microsoft Word files or folders. The computer stalls, and when I press Control Alt Delete, it just comes up with the box that says the program is not responding. I've rebooted a couple of times with no success.

Error message tels me to reinstall windows 98, but it seems that could only be possible if I use a command prompt. I do not know how to do this,or more exactly what commands to use.The computer will not go past the message so it is not possible to reinstall with disc only.

I bought a used Compaq Desktop computer and I cannot run any programs of the .exe type. Keep getting message saying "windows cannot find ukcoxpeqy.exe." what can I do??? Thanks

it goes to 2% and then starts over...in both scandisc and defrag.....when I first start pc I get a window that says....missing....stms.exe.....both of these probelms occured around the same time frame....get that missing 'stms.exe' everytime I sign on.....help!!!!! and thank you........

I cannot do a Scandisc. During the middle of it, a Fatal Exception comes thru, then I have to restart. Same thing with a defrag, but cannot defrag without a scandisc anyway. Whats the cause?

Hi, why is it that, i fail to copy cd's. I am using Aedaptec, and i have used it before successfully. Now, i am having problems, where the CD ejects automatically just before it is created (usually 99%). I have also tried disabling other programs (anti-virus etc). Can anybody help?
