i was wondering if there is some kind of uninstalling software out there that can uninstall old software not just from my add/remove but completley from my system, including but not limited to, program files etc.... all in one shot?

In Windows ME, why does the SSDP Service try to connect to the Internet? My firewall blocks several attempts each time my computer is on.

I downloaded Direct X 8.1 as an upgrade to my existing 4.3. When I install 8.1 it dosen't show the blue bar going across, but a msg comes up and said it was set up secussfully. When going in my computer to see what version I now have, it still says 4.3. What am I doing wrong with this...
