Can any one tell me if the problem with the "unable to restore" glich using version 9 of the media player? I just did a re-boot and have been off-line for a while and I am not sure if I should up date from version 7. Thanks for any info or refrences to this issue in advance.

A friend bought a used pc that has Windows ME, she wants to get it back to where it would be had she bought it new. No software, Can she install another windows over the existing one and if so will it mess up anything or not.
