Problem - Computer cannot access internet (well not exactly.....)!. by

I have the following situation and it's driving me nuts!! Any
suggestions would be most welcome.
Configuration: Wireless home network; 1 laptop running WinXP, 2
desktops running Win98SE. All local communication good and one WinXP
and one Win98SE perform everything OK.....BUT

The Win98 Power Management newsgroup appears to be inactive. So, I'm posing
this question here.
I have power management set to "system standby never", "turn off monitor
after 15 minutes", and "turn off hard disks never". But, my mouse and

Hi
I've just spent the best part of a day on this and not solved it, what
have I missed? (I'm an Internet software developer, but networks aren't
my everyday thing).
I've a Windows 98 machine connected by cable to a Linksys WAG54G 4 port
router with wireless 802.11g and inbuilt ADSL/broadband...

Entire Network Password for MS Networking.
This is a nuisance and is not required. How do I get rid of this?

My bedroom XPpro connects with the Inventel usb adaptor that came with the
package.
This all works well.
