Shortly after starting my computer and beginning to use it I get the following message: "Istsvc has caused an error in ISTSVC.EXE. Istsve will now close. If you continue to experience problems try restarting your computer." What causes this? Is it a concern? Can I fix it?

When I select start and place the cursor over "programs", I get a blue screen with error vmm(12)+00004c3c error:oe:0028:c0284c3c. All other selections (documents, search etc) work fine. I can also run selected programs from desktop. Any suggestions on how to fix this? thanks

Everything on the desktop appears in the startup menu of the sys config utility. ??? Removed spyware, adware, viruses, etc....still no dice.
