Useable Flash player version by 98 Guy
ernie wrote: Is there a version of Flash player 9 which does not crash IE6sp1? Why are you a luser and still running IE6 as your web browser? Do you like hitting your head against an anvil? Why aren't you using FireFox 2.0.0.20?

Question
Bootable USB Flash Drive in Win98 ? by JorgeA
Hello, I'm wondering if it's possible to set up Windows 98 (original edition) to boot and load completely from a USB flash drive. The idea would be -- in case of a hard disk failure -- to have all my data, programs, AND system ready to go in order to reinstall them onto a replacement hard...

Is there a Quicktime that works on Win98? by Robert Macy
I went to a website that said you have to download some plug-in to view this video. Ok, I went to the website and it came up with 'free' Quicktime for WinXP, Vista, and Windows 7. I'll bet it's over 3 times the size of Quciktime that ran on Win98 , so where can I find Quicktime that runs on Win98?

posts about Terhune by thanatoid
FWIW, even though I though Gary was a jerk and we had a serious and permanent falling out within a few days of our first thread, I find the current jokes and general discussion of his "status" in poor taste. No one knows where he is or how he is and I think you should drop the subject. I for...

re Terhune,,, da doggie lover by yesterday
In sooo many posts that aggravated dear terhune, he made it more than clear that he wasnt interested in christ, and was not fussed about god; just wondering what his last words on earth were? also wondering if his missus used a priest (emissary of god) to say stuff over his burial? (as if thats...

Windows Installer by 98 Guy
I've cross-posted this to microsoft.public.win98.gen_discussion because that's where most win-98 traffic happens. Chuckles Clown wrote: I was attempting to install some updated HP software and the windows installer is looking for a file that doesn't exist. Now I don't know how to clear or...

Missing System Tools folder by ms
I wanted to run System File Checker, read that it is in System Tools. I just looked in Accessories, there is no System Tools folder! ?? I just used Scanreg/restore, the oldest registry is only a few days old. And nothing has happened on this machine in the past week, so I believe the Tools...

advice please: can't transfer programs by alan
I’d be very grateful for some advice. A few years ago, I was given a computer running Windows 98SE. It already had some programs on it, such as Word and Photoshop 6, but I wasn’t given any of the discs for these programs. I used this computer for years, but finally decided to upgrade to XP, so I...

Looking for Intel 945 chipset drivers for W98SE. Anybody know if there is a hacked version which works? I tried logging on to MSFN tonight because I thought a group there had drivers. To my dismay, the account has been deleted !! Do they monitor and if you haven't logged in for a long time...

A way to decompress .SIT (stuffit) files in win98 by SlickRCBD[_3_]
I need to be able to open some old Stuffit archives on my windows 98 computer as it would be a PITA to decompress them on my PowerMac 6500 and then try to move them. They were accidentally burned to a CD compressed a while ago instead of the decompressed contents. My copy of Virtual PC 3.0 came...
