IPX Networking between ME and XP by
ZeroSP
I want to network them using IPX protocol to run some of my older games
which will only use IPX, namely Diablo.
Using the IPX protocol, initially the XP computer could not see itself or
the ME computer in the game lobby whilst the ME computer could see itself,
the XP computer and the messages both...

Hi, hope someone can help.
Trying to set up network between main PC on XP, and old PC on ME.
Have run the XP networking wizard on both machines three times but have been
unable to get any connectivity.
The XP machine takes a long time to try to open the mshome window and then
can't, the ME machine...

connect the ethernet to my ME laptop from the modem, the computer ethernet
port lights dont light up, nor does the modems ethernet light. i called AT&T

Mobo = ECS Elite K8M800-M2
Everything works fine ntil....I try to connect the LAN.
I insert the ethernet cable and start the PC, all runs ok for a few
minutes - or until I try to open IE - then the computer just shuts down - no
freezing, no blue...

I installed a LINKSIS network adapter in a DELL 4100 with WIN ME, pent III,
866 mhz, 256 meg. The hardware wizard recognizes the adapter and the driver
file but locks up when I try to load it. I checked with LINKSIS, & DELL and
they haven't a clue! I'm sure there is a Microsoft genius out there...

Lost "Sharing..." in context menu for Favorites folder by
"Sharing..." is still in right click menu and sharing works for other
'special' or shell folders (my documents, drive, etc.)
