HOW TO UNINSTALL MESSENGER IN 98? by

Would someone tell me how to install "windows messenger"
in windows 98?
If I remember correctly, this is a seperate "window messenger"
and has nothing to do with microsoft messenger or aol messenger.
I believe it is responsible for ads and windwos popping up
and whatnot, and I seem to remember it...

If I right click on any Icon on my screen the hour glass
stays in the busy mode. The only way to freeup the
computer is to shut it down. I have ran a virus search
but nothing found. Does anyone know what to do?

Unpacking Adobe reader by

At the end of the boot up sequence, the system comes up
with the following message:
"Unpacking Adobe Reader" every time the sytem is turned
on, eventhough we let the unpacking program to be fully
executed.
Uninstall and reinstall Acrobat 5.0 without success.
Any suggestion on how to stop this...

Can anyone tell me how to free up system resources on my
computer? I keep getting a box come up that says "LOW
RESOURCES" and then it locks up on me. This computer is a
couple years old (4), and I know there has got to be ways

Girlfriend's computer shuts down by itself, please help by

I gave my girfriend my old computer. Win 98, Pentium, 64M Ram. She told me
that it has been shutting itself down: she gets the "It is now safe to
shutdown your computer" screen, then shuts off, although she was playing
games or just only had the computer and monitor running with her...
