the boot order to look for the cd first and then disable the HD boot
capability. I pop in the cd and restart the computer to boot up from the cd
and start the installation. Once the computer reboots, it shows me that...

Slowish by
PAT (Paul)
I'm using ADSL; ~750 MHz; 64 MB; OEM IBM. Seems slower than lets say a year
ago. The Resouce meter indicates: System and Users Resources: 69% and GDI:
95% after a warm boot. This after a thorough Scan, Windows and TIF TEMP
files deleted; Ad-Aware SE scanned, etc. Can these figures be improved...

Restoring the Registry in ME--Must One Boot into DOS? by
Eli
Hi:
I know how to back up the registry in Windows ME and where the compressed
file backups are located.
I'm not clear as to how the registry is restored if something should go
wrong in editing or cleaning it.
Does one need to use the Startup Disk and boot into DOS or is it something
simpler?

Registery problem? by
Paul
My system will not start. I power it on and all I get is what looks like a
DOS screen and a blinking curser. I can boot from floppy and get to the C
drive. I'm not sure what I can do, Im hope I don't have to re-system my
machine.
Thank you
