hello Jane
How.........my computer when I switch it on, keeps rebooting 5
to 8 times before it proceed in opening the windows.
What........ personal computer running 98 windows with 512 RAM,
80 gigabytes hard disk, gigabyte motherboard.......and it's four years old.

Unable to open msconfig or regedit by

When attempting to open msconfig or regedit, they will not stay open. They
appear for a split second, then immediately close. I suspect that something
malicious is in my system that won't allow me to access them. Please help!

My employer has some old machines and is getting rid of them.
They have XP Professional on them. I have a crashed machine at home
with Win 98 SE and the original install disk.( I am assuming I have
the right to install 98SE on another working...

Audio problem and Troubleshooter problem by

Seemingly out of the blue, my computer can no longer play audio. This
includes sound from audio and audio/video files of all types, either from
the internet or from hard drive, and also audio CDs.

I have a broadband ISP and I'd like to network a notebook. I've read that
to be able to network to wireless, a minimum of Win98 SE must be installed.
I have win98 on my desktop and want to introduce a notebook which would be
purchased with win XP.

System changing floppy drive letters by

During the last month, the 98SE has changed the floppy drive letters, e.g.,
CD read/write "F" drive to "G" and Zip drive from "G" to "E". In addition,
the system takes approx two minutes to boot. A licensed MS Tech reviewed and
