[Win Me] Automatic Updates isn't working by
\(yet another\) Steve
My problem...
Automatic Updates is not working on my system and it had worked before. For
about the past few years I've had it turned-off (update manually) but turned
it back on a few months ago. I even got the Windows Update for AU
(manually). Then I started to notice that there were critical...

_RESTORE by
Sun
My _RESTORE folder says it contains almost 11GB of files.
I cannot see them to know if I can delete them without
endangering my system. I need the space and I can't see
why a _RESTORE folder would need to use up so much space.
Please advise.

_RESTORE Folder by
KenP
Hi, I hope you are doing well.
I have a HP Pavillion with WMe on it. There is a _RESTORE folder under the c
drive that according to my antivirus checker contains all kinds of viruses,
etc. in files located within a TEMP directory and named Axxxxx.cpy. The
_RESTORE folder is a hidden folder but...

interested in hearing about it. But now I forget what it was, had to do
with developments in computer technology, I think. Oh well, instead of

~7583836889.TMP (Yes, people, another one....) by
Mitch D.
Hi. Like so many in the weeks past, I am getting that God
forsaken error message when I start up
Windows...: "Explorer has caused an error in
~7583836889.TMP, Explorer will now close". And of course,
by letting it do so, I am left with a blank desktop (no
icons or anything) and a mouse pointer,...

~9152745478.TMP by
[email protected]
I received a message the explorer has caused an error in
~9152745478.TMP followed by Explorer will now close.
If you close the window, the screen turns to blue and you
need to reboot to get back to the main screen.
Any suggestions?
