Why is Windows Me creating a copy of my user account with '000' after it and then storing my stuff there instead of my original account (i.e. original user account name is 'bill' and it is creating a new user named 'bill000')?

When cursor hovers over a clickable area, the screen changes after about 2/3 seconds as if I had clicked to change screens. Have searched throughout but can't seem to find where to adjust this setting.; Can anyone help? Thanks in advance. Dan
