Hi All....
Changing the subject here. Rogers....in its infinite stupidity....is
cancelling Usenet access for all of us. I have written untold numbers of
emails and if I can still access news groups other than Microsoft ones
tomorrow, perhaps we will have staved it off for a day or two.

Re-installation of ME by
Peter
We need to re-install Windows ME, and the current hard drive has Win
XP Pro on it. We want to start from scratch (reformat, etc), just a few
questions please.
1. From memory, the ME filing system is FAT32, not NTFS as in XP, is
that correct ?
2. There are a number of documents, photos, etc, that...

System Restore Points by
AAH
Whenever I restore a point, it does ok but
at the same time it deletes other points prior to the one being restored. I
never notice it before. Say if there are 5points over the last
5 days if I restore the latest one it will automatically delete the earlier
2/3 points.
The space allocated is 460mb...

OK, but once it starts the installation process, it really begins to drag
terribly. Finally, every notch in the Installing progress bar is filled,
but...

New user on existing installation of ME by
Joni
Is it possible to create a second user on an existing ME installation? I
made an attempt and all I seemed to accomplish was to change the user to
the new name. Couldn't get back, so I did a system restore and am now
back where I started. My ultimate purpose is to be able to use a second
setup of OE...
