Can someone please explain in clear, direct English, as opposed to what is
on the WU site, what loss in OS or IE functionality will result from
downloading the latest two security updates? (KB867282 & KB891781)
For the previous update, I lost Help Troubleshooter, but managed to bring it
back...

Wendell wrote recently in microsoft.public.win98.apps:
After updating msimg32.dll on Windows 98 SE, Opera 10.54 appears

Opera will still run, but gives an error message about the
transparency feature.
I always find it...

Surprised! by
webster72n
When I discovered that MS keeps Win-95 and -98 NG's, while dumping Win-ME
and the German speaking IE group,
I couldn't help but wonder about the reasoning behind it.
Can anyone here help out with this?
Harry.

New HDD, has corrupted Data - AGAIN by
[email protected]
Ok, As most of you know, I had a partition go bad on one of my drives
and I lost much of the data on it, because I did not have a current
backup. I got rid of that hard drive, even after a re-format showed it
to be usable and not have bad sectors.
This is an old IBM brand computer from about 2001....
