CDROM Drive by

Have a friend who operates under Win 98. I tried to give
him some assistance with printer, etc. and came across
this problem, we can't open his disk drive to change
CDROM's, and answer we get back is basically 'D Drive is
not recognizable or words to that effect'.
There is no pinhole to open it,...

I am in the process of finding out by "trial and error" the cause of whining
noise coming from my mini tower.It's not the PSU fan or CPU fan so I assume
it's either the PSU or hard disk at fault.

Hi all, I have an SATA 160G HD formatted in WinXP as
FAT32. But everytime I boot up Windows 98 SE it hangs. I
wonder if it is the size of the HD or the SATA interface

I read a few posts from people whose Windows original
CDROM had become unreadable. One easy way to avoid this
if you're adding/repairing bits a lot is to backup the
entire CDROM contents to hard disk (e.g. to a folder

Zip disk properties by

After reading a zip disk the properties function always
displays the initial zip disks capacity even though you
have an empty disk in the drive. The Microsoft Backup
program thinks the disk is full and will not write to it.
Is there a fix?

When turning on computer it asks for boot disk, when i
try an install without formatting i get disk errors. and
at the dos prompt i can only read my A: drive. trying to
read or format my C: gives a bad command. is there any

support. My hard drive died and the shop put an 80GB in
it and i bought Win XP home edition but too many of my old
programs wont run properly with it so want to go back to
Win 98 where they all work fine.
