off. This only happens in Win. 98. I never encounter this

Bios disabled To richards by
Anthonage
I went to that web page and am confused on which one to download of win98se.
also what is Alt1 and Alt2 all about? Anyhow I did d/l one, put it on a floppy
and when it ran, it asked me to put in disk 2. If there is a disk two,
shouldn't it been included on that d/l?

Question: just what do hackers get out of it? by
FACE
I have been thinking about these hackers that send people to extreme
measures to counter them. *Some* of the spyware I can understand.
But all of the viruses, trojans, worms, etc. -- the malevolent stuff -- i
can't understand. In analogy, I have no desire to drive to some randomly
chosen house...

removed only the hard drive. So now, with my new one on the sidelines, I
thought of putting back the hard drive, which I had made a slave on the new. It
was partitioned and thats all. Now, when i tried to boot the...

FAQ: Win98 users: Upgrading to WinXP, IE6, etc. by
JM
1) Upgrading to IE6 on a Win98 machine will probably end up in a lot of
trouble. Many people had problems after installing IE6. IE6 was clearly
not written for Windows 98.
2) Upgrading to Windows XP on a sub ghz machine, it can be too slow. It'll
probably work on a Pentium 3 processor, but...
