Second Hardrive by

Hi,
New to this so please excuse me if I ask silly questions.
I just installed a second hard drive into my Gtaeway computer which is
running 98SE. It is a Samsung 80Gig drive. I did the partitioning and format
and I only got 32 gig.
I was told that the BIOS may not support the 80Gig drive so I...

Copying Files off CD-R by

copied them off of the cd the files were locked and I couldn't save to the
folders or delete things. Why are they locked and why can't I change them

Hi, I have an old Windows 98 PC on which i have 2 Hard Drives. However, the
last 4-5 times i've restared that computer, it no longer recognizes the
secondary hard drive. I have a lot of important documentation on that drive.

Hope someone can help here. I have Fdisk/ reformat my C drive and reload
WIN98SE. After that, I got this fatal exception error every now and then :

USB drive only showup if plugged in & reboot by

My Lexar Jumpdrive (USB drive) only showup under Windows Explorer or in "MY
COMPUTER" as removal drive if and only if I plug it in the USB port and
re-boot the system. I have installed the drivers provided for my WIN98SE
machine and have the setting in Device manager to show this as removal...

one disk for storage is connected to the primary channel.The second channel
is set-up as Master = CD-Rom

windows 98) onto a CD-RW cd. when i tried to use the cd in the windows 98
computer, the cd was not recognised and came up with an error message

I have some text document saved on a floppy disk during 1991-1992 time. The
disk is Memorex 2S/2D 3.5". The format of the disk is unknown. It could be
an old Macintosh format.

Can I remove the partition from d drive and ad the volume it to c drive
without loosing my programs in the c drive? or does the c drive have to

drive there were ALOT more directories than I had on there and most were all
symbols like *^&$%#^% + more. I could to still access data but when I clicked
