Joseph
Is there a way to backup the desktop layout. I get a lot of crashes lately
and often the desktop icons come up all squashed to one side. I tried to
find a file that has those settings, but no luck. I think now that it is
integrated into the swap file...

Determining the amount of Video RAM installed by
SlickRCBD
I've recently aquired a used Windows 98SE computer a few months back,
and I confess that I'm more familiar with Macs than Windows. The person
I got it from is not computer literate, and had lost the manuals for it.
Is there any way to determine how much video RAM the computer has? When
I asked the...

Device Manager all mixed up by
jd
Sorry I don't have a screenshot but I've seen this before.
In device manager, the devices are listed all over the place in no uniform
listing whatsoever.
Anyone seen this?
child devices like controllers and modems and monitors etc are not in the
parent device.
Thanks.

Digital camera( microdrive storage) USB to win98 by
ZX
Hi,
I have a digital camera (video/stills) which uses a Hitachi 4GB
microdrive for the storage.
I can transfer files from it via USB to my XP laptop, as the XP
automatically recognises the camera and it comes up as a 'drive
letter'.
Can anyone tell me how I can do this using my win98 ...
