Rob

internet. I've "uninstalled" all unnecessary applications
in the add remove programs listing but I know they are
still running in the background. I don't want to go and
mess with the registy by removing them that way so can
anyone tell me...

I've removed all kinds of stuff from my add remove
programs in my control panel. But most of those programs
still appear in the add remove list. How do I delete the
names of those uninstalled programs from the add remove

I'm running Windows ME and when I attempt to use the

listing for McAfee VirusScan. When I click on that listing
and click remove. It tells me that this can only be
accomplished with programs that are installed. How do I

Add/Remove Programs by
Arne
Some of the registry entries seem to have been accidently
wiped out. I can think of no other reason for Add/Remove
Programs in Control Panel becoming useless. When I click
on it I only have about a third of the programs installed
on my computer listed there. All other entries are no
longer...

Add/Remove programs list disappeared by
Kevin Gough
This is a strange one. The list of programs in the
Add/remove programs utility in Control Panel has
disappeared and consequently. I can't uninstall stuff
properly. Does anyone have any idea how to get it back ?

Add/remove programs list has disappeared by
Kevin Gough
This is a bit odd. The Add/remove programs list has
disappeared ! When I click on the icon in My Computer, no
list appears, so I can't remove anything 'properly'.
Anyone have any idea how to get it back ?
Kevin.

Adding new fonts--supposedly simple by

Oh, for heaven sake! I am doing everything to try to get 5
new fonts to be listed as available to me, after having
downloaded them from online. The Microsoft page tells me

from,) which I go through, but when I click "select all"

I currently have Adobe 4.0. Just bought the Adobe 6.0 Professional upgrade
but the new one does not recognize the older Adobe CD and won't load. Any

Advice on two folders, please by
Justin Thyme
I've forgotten exactly how I came across these folders but on my C:\ disk
are RECYCLED\NPROTECT that contain 1500+ files, mostly small (although there
are a few 1-2MB files), that take up ~200MB total. Some date back four
years, several are as recent as two weeks ago when I once and for all...

Adware Cab Files by
2lazy2p
Could someone please tell me how to get rid of Archieve
Adware Cab Files which McAfee keeps detecting. I can't
remove, even some infected files, because the file is
write protected.
Or, is it a problem I need to worry about.

adware in restore folder by

My antivirus keeps finding adware in my restore folder. It
indicates that it is write protected when i try to delete

Adware in the Archive problem by
Ken-net
If I'm in the wrong group please feel free to redirect me.
I'm unable to remove "Adware" in the C:\_Restore\Archive\FS*.CAB files.
McAfee reports that these so-called "Adware" files are not trojans, viruses,
or worms.
First of all, should I trust this answer?
I must have accepted some Adware as...

Hi--I uninstalled all 3 NAV program entries through the
