unable to connect. by
Dan wells
After installing a software update I am no longer able to
connect to the internet. The modem is fine. Microsoft
says I need to reinstall my network card drivers. How do I
do this? I have a NEC Ready 9732 (please don't laugh) that
was originally packaged with Windows 95. Thanks for any
help.

Win 98 will not boot by
Haroldk
I installed a LINKSYS 10/100 lan card in my windows 98
system and now it will not even boot up.
The system is a 533mhz Celeron.
Removing the card and everything is fine. The card works
OK in another system running XP.
Is there a BIOS set-up problem with the Win 98 system?

Networking XP and 98 by

I'm having what I think is a similiar problem. I've
previously networked my 2 win98 computers through a
kingston hub which is also connected to a DSL modem.
Worked fine. I was able to share printing and files as
well as the internet. I've disconnected one of the old
computers and connected my...

I apologize if this is not the right newsgroup for this question, but
I'm not seeing anything show up in ibm.ibmpc.thinkpad where I originally
posted this question, so I thought somebody here might know something
even though this is not, strictly speaking, a "networking" problem.
I'm working on a...

I didn't know whether or not to post this in Win98 Networking, WinNT
Networking, or WinXP networking, but most of the problems seem to be from
a Windows 98 computer... so I picked this forum.
Here's the deal:
I have two computers, directly linked together via crossover cable. They

I've been stuck on this project for a while now, I wonder if
someone could shed some light for me:
My employer has asked me to review some code for a sort of DNS
