Hi, trying to remove the password I had established when opening windows. Removed the password in the control panel, however, the request for user and password still comes up when I restart. Any where else I should be checking to ensure that this option is not enabled? Thanks

scandisk won't work by [email protected]
When my system freezes requiring a restart, my scandisk hangs and I get the message that there is an error in "dskmaint.dll" and scandisk will now close. Any idea how to track this one down? Thanks

I have a dual boot computer with winME and winXP on it and when I boot up, the machine reads all of the harddrives and optical drives except one the dvd, once I get into windows I restart and the machine reads it. Can anyone help explain why and how to fix it. Thank you.
