Recently Used File List History/Memory - How to erase?? by
rtlltr
When I open either MediaPlayer9 or Internet Explorer, and I click on "FILE"
in the upper-left corner, and then click "OPEN", and then "BROWSE" from the
pop-up window, and select "ALL FILES" (under "Files of Type"), I get drop
down list of all my recently viewed/used files with their complete path...

windows passwords.. by

Hi, trying to remove the password I had established when opening windows.
Removed the password in the control panel, however, the request for user and
password still comes up when I restart.
Any where else I should be checking to ensure that this option is not enabled?

Assuming i receive the following error message in a number of different
situations and while different sets of applicatiopns are running, do i have a
hope in the world:
unknown has caused an error in unknown. unknown will now close.
This gives me no hints as to what has actualy gone...

scandisk won't work by

When my system freezes requiring a restart, my scandisk hangs and I get
the message that there is an error in "dskmaint.dll" and scandisk will
now close. Any idea how to track this one down?

Computer not loading up by

I have a Windows Millenium operating system.
Lately, my computer doesn't completely load on 'start-up'. It only goes as
far as showing Task Scheduler Service Window. I try Control, Alt., Delete
and most of the time that doesn't help and I must push the 'Re-set' button.
'Windows' then does load...

Drop down list problem by

I use Windows 2000 Prof and have cable provider, I fill in a lot of forms and
am getting to the stage that, when I click on the place to type in name,
address etc a very long list drops down which prevents me from typing in an
address, I have to then sort through the list for the address I want...

I have a dual boot computer with winME and winXP on it
and when I boot up, the machine reads all of the
harddrives and optical drives except one the dvd, once I
get into windows I restart and the machine reads it. Can
anyone help explain why and how to fix it. Thank you.

A few have run out of patience with me and understandable as I am obviously
not reading thoroughly the responses in the post.
