I have a bad sector reported in the MBR of a Win ME installation. Will a thorough Scandisk (fix errors) fix the this in the process? I know it could be a virus reporting the sector as bad but Win ME wants to do the Scandisk first - so I am going to let it ! Any thoughts appreciated... --...

When I try to get into my computer/windows explorer, the computer freezes. When I go into the program manager(ctrl+alt+del) I get a rundll32 not resonding. I have removed all virusus and and resetup Win Me. I am still having the same problem. Any suggestion? Loretta
