cleaning up after finding trojans and worms on computer.
nem218.dll comes up infected by troj_dyfuca.m and i can't
delete it because my system says the file is being used by
windows. any help would be appreciated.

Can't open My computer or Recycle bin, etc on desktop by

I keep getting the error message "Explorer has caused an error in PDF6CF0.DLL" when I click on the icon for "my computer", the recycle bin, or "my pictures", etc . Restarting does not help. These will not open any more.

I ran the Feb 2004 Security UPdate CD for ME and all the
desktop icons will not work, they do not execute. Right
Click on icon brings up the desktop properties. New
shortcut icons do the same thing. Is there a fix?

Changing a read only file to writable by

Recently I transferred my photos off the computer to a
CD-R. Now when I bring the pictures back to the computer
for "altering" it cannot be completed because I get the
message: Read only file--make it writable. How do I do
this?

Ok this could be really simple. All of a sudden the
computer seems run jerky when the disk is writing ie when
booting up or down loading info from the net. The mouse
will not move smoothly whilst this happening, also screen
now loads up in chunks.
Have even tried reinstalling everything again but...

When I try to shut my system down I get a blue screen that
says windows protection error....system halted. You must
restart your computer. I cannot go past this point. I
have to shut it down manually which results in scanning
