Moonraker
Hi.
As some of you will be aware, I have set up a new network, (my first),
mostly thanks to you guys who helped me through it, not a particularly
difficult labour, but the first is always the most worrying.
With this aging and cluttered Win 98 PC in need of some colonic irrigation,
can I now...

PCMCIA Help by
Fab
Hello,
I have a problem, I bought a PCMCIA Ethernet Card on the web, it's the "NEC
WL11C", when I plug it into my laptop, it won't be detected by windows : I
hear the bell, and then I choose the folder where the driver is, windows
sets it up, reboot, and then I can't use it.
Please help.
Thank you

Public IP address determination by
Joe Johnston
My mom's Win98 SE computer is connected directly (no router, hub, or switch)
to her broadband cable modem. Her ISP is suddenlink.com . Their website
claims they provide dynamic IP addresses rather than static ones, which I
believe is somewhat uncommon for cable ISP's .
While she has an internet...

This involves Win98 on peer-to-peer network. One computer is
"designated" server and has the main application and data accessed by
the other computers in the workgroup, whose OSes...

It was working. Now it isn't after I didn't use it for a long time.
I'm seeing signs that the driver installation isn't finding all the
