I'm running VLC for XP on Win98se by [email protected]
This is interesting. I installed VLC 2.0.5 (32 bit) on Windows 98se, and it works perfectly. This version is listed for XP and higher. It's not even supposed to work on Win 2000. The last version intended for Win98 was ver 1.0.2 from 2009. I wonder how this can be????

I'm running both Windows 98 Second Edition and Windows XP on my machine. I started with 512MB of memory. Both OS booted fine and all worked fine. So, I decided to increase the memory. I installed another 512MB of the exact same type, size and manufacturer memory. The Windows XP boots fine and all...

AOL is taking over my computer! by Ben Myers
It sounds like "mspaint.exe" and "wordpad.exe" have been removed from "C:\Program Files\Accessories", so you probably need to extract fresh copies of these files from your Windows 98 CD to that folder. To restore the shortcuts, start Notepad, copy and paste the following text to it and save it as...

You know how Youtube makes a fuss about old browsers, and tells you "your browser is outdated". Then you have to click on "NO THANKS" to proceed. Well, it made a DOUBLE fuss over K-Meleon 1.5.4, saying the browser is NOT SUPPORTED. But I still could use it, after dealing with all their nag...
