FQDN not possible to ping but ip OK by BRK
Hi. I have a computer here that after a virus (might even be a spyware problem) got on the computer i have been unable to connect to internet using "human readable addresses" :) But when i ping the IP addresses there is no problem. I have checked my hosts files and all and cant find any problem....

Restoring Network Neighborhood by gonzo
Greetings, Is there a way to restore the Network Neighborhood icon to the desktop? Or prehaps access it another way? I am not sure what was done to the computer such that that icon no longer exists. Thank you for any help or guidance. ~gonzo

I am trying to browse a stand alone windows 2000 server on a windows 98 machine. When I go through Network Neighborhood and then to Work Groups, I can see the server, however when I try to browse it I get a login window asking for a password only ... which password does it want?
