Problem obtaining IP address... by

Hello-
I am running Windows 98SE on an older laptop. I connect to the
internet through a wireless network using a wireless-ethernet bridge. I am
able to connect to various networks (at home, st school, and at coffee shops)
only if I manually enter an IP address, Subnet Mask, Gateway, etc....

I'm new to windows (98) and have never got any networking to work right.
Due to a stroke (long after I started computing) I can't follow complex
things and I forget what I read easily. That is to say, studying things
out is impossible.

this time, everytime AOL hits the welcome screen, AOL freezes. What is

I have windows 98 and wanted to use the mn-710. It recognizes it in display
manager, yet always shows a ! or X next to it. When the X appears, you can't
"enable" it. I was wondering if there is something i can do or anyone know of
a usb driver included in 98SE that could be useful for this

"hog" the network with large downloads. Is there any way I can set her
priority to a lower level so that my wife and I can get our email in one
continuous chunk, instead of getting timed out!
