I HAVE ACCIDENTLY CHANGED THE FORMAT OF MY COMPRESSED FOLDER FILE INTO AN IMAGE FILE AND CANT GET IT BACK I DONT KNOW WHAT I HAVE DONE??????????? HELP ME

My hard drive icon looks like there's mold growing on it. I have run disk clean-up, scandisk, Windows Update and the defragmenter. I have updated my Norton anti-virus and run a virus check, but the "dirty hard drive" icon is still there. Does anybody know what's going on?
