please tell me how to finish installing windows if you no longer have the product key, I can find my cd case and have to reinstall windows.

very basic usage of computer, but gradually experimenting with all now I have more time available. When I go on i/net there is no sound, nor is there sound when booting computer, which I'm sure I used to have. And if I receive an email which should have sound, the email opens and runs ok, but again...

In command prompt mode, my USB mouse and my standard keyboard are not detected. (They used to be before I reinstalled WIN 98-SE). Any suggestions would be welcome.

When I try to update online the operating system, I get as far as "Windows is looking for available updates" 0% complete and no further. I think that I must have disabled something like "Windows Scripting Host" while doing an update. How can I re-enable Windows updates online? Thanks, CMA
