Me won't boot by
E Brent Price
Trying to help a friend with an old Compaq. I got to loading drivers for
the Sound Blaster and the Creative modem and ran into what appeared to be a
reinstallation of the OS but it froze up and gave error messages. The
little toy drum kept going but all else was dead. I rebooted, and after...

Microsoft Kernel System Audio Renderer, along with previously mentioned
C-media and Wave Devices. (If this means anything, I sure don't know about
it!)
I DO have an error in "Other Devices"...PCI Universal Serial Bus....

Kernel32.dll by
Dapper Dan
A message cropped up saying "Crashrep has caused an error in Kernel32.dll.
Crashrep will now close". I know this is related to OPEN OFFICE. Rebooted
and then a new message surfaced "MSIMM has caused an error in MSHTML.DLL.
MSIMM will now close."
Ran a virus scan, then AdAware, Spybot and...

I am trying to solve this problem for my neighbor. His IE is locked and would
not get on the internet. Somehow, someone put a passport on it but we don't
know it and now it would not get on line. I was wondering if there is a way
around this lost password. Appreciate a suggestion as to how to undo...

run under XP are unable to run under ME. I have made clean install ME
several times, and I believe the ME system I have now is supposed to be very
normal. There is no yellow mark in the 'Device Manager'. The...

Albert
Hello All,
My wife would like it if when she boots her Windows ME it will boot
without the password window and go straight to desktop.
I installed my old ME on her computer when I went to windows XP and
what little I knew about ME I have forgotten.

Microsoft patch for WMF flaw -- WinME not covered??? by
Dave Boland
My question is simple - why? I read the Microsoft message
for the patch and they seem to say that WinME is affected,
but no patch because of some non-sense I don't understand.
Can someone explain and comment if their analysis is on the
level, or bull ****? If it is BS, what do we do, aside...
