ME to XP: I am under the impression that in going from FAT32 to NTFS, there have been significant 3rd party software problems and it would be better to purchase the full version of XP and do a clean install vs. using the upgrade package. Any truth to this?

whenever i unplug the flash memory stick from my comp;uter, i get a msg saying that i should use the hot plug icon located on the status bar. my status bar does not have such an icon. perhaps all i need do is enable it. could anyone tell me how . thanks -- 5string
