The icons in my quick start menu and all the icons in windows explorer on the left side of the page as well as some in the start menu are fuzzy looking. What's up with that? Why only those icons?

complete beginner, just installed a hard drive loaded with ME, when I try to view anything on the net all I get is text and empty frames with little red x's in the top left hand corner!!. Can anyone advise me as to what needs to be done ??.

Using ME, the windows update download works however when restarting the netvista, a message "windows could not upgrade the file %1 from %2". I tried restarting a couple times but seems to not upgrade the file even though the machine will bring up windows. Can you assist?
