Greegor[_2_]
I've been using Tiny Personal Firewall, AVG and Spybot S&D resident.
I keep seeing various programs that are part of Windows
attempting to access IP addresses and ports that
do not make sense to me.
One of the programs was an AVG file itself, but
trying to talk to some stange IP address...

WinME in the dust? by
webster72n
All indications are that WinME is not the subject of attacks anymore, since
support for it has been withdrawn, IOW it was a blessing for this to happen.
But that's just my personal opinion.
I am open for suggestions to the contrary.
As far as I am concerned, WinME will serve me for a long time to...

WinME faster than WinXP? by
PaulFXH
Hi
I recently spent three months using a small machine (256MB RAM, 1.8GHz
CPU, 20GB HDD) running on WinME.
Due largely to the excellent help I received from this group, I managed
to get
the WinME box running very smartly. To such an extent that I believed
it
was actually faster doing some things...

winme disk boot failure by
Diggar
I am getting "disk boot failure insert system disk" with my winme system.
What does this mean and is there anyway to fix it easily?
The drive is an 80GB WD fairly new drive and seems to be running ok. It
still sees it in the bios?
Any ideas appreciated
Thanks

WinME Default "Save As" Folder by
TLokrantz
I don't have WinME installed, so I'm unable to determine this by viewing the
folder structure...
If one "right-clicks" on an image - say on a website - and selects "Save
As"... What is the default folder in the WinME OS?
Thanks.
